“Home” Poem

Sunrise over the corn field, Phetchabun, Thailand | Windows 10 Spotlight Images

Hello readers! It’s been a while! This is a poem I recently wrote for my school’s literature magazine prompt. I hope you enjoy!

“Home”- SBR

Eclectic faces coming together
To ride out the tidings of tomorrow,
Bonds here are hard to sever:
They overcome quarrels and sorrow.

A shelter from the outside sneers,
Thick walls protect all who enter
This safe haven from dreads and fears,
With comforts loving and tender.

How rare a place with such security;
And yet I must leave it.
Although, I know with great clarity
My heart will wander towards it.
