“Downpour” Poem

Hi readers! It’s been a hot second since I’ve posted something, and I was looking through some of my poems and stumbled across this one (it’s kind of a prequel to my other poem, “Burning Bridges”)! I hope you enjoy!

"Downpour"- SBR

Pitter patter and a splatter
The rain begins to start
Pitter patter, it doesn’t matter
You’ve already broken my heart

Lighting crashes, Thunder bashes
Through the eerily calm air
Wind smashes, Hail lashes
To protect the growing tear

Water rises, Love demises
A flood wipes out the past
Heaven sacrifices, Hell ices
Love can never last.
